My Uncle-In-Law (if that's what they're called) just went to junkies to get us some burgers. We come here religiously and the owner informed him Oct 1st will be their last day in business and he will be retiring. Although I'm very HAPPY for you that you get to relax now after i think 14 years in business ??? Wow what a long time. I loved these burgers man. Just as good if not better than in-n-out I'm not kidding at all! Plus it's never a long wait ! I been in SC for about 10 years and sad i only discovered you guys about 4 years ago. I used to go to biggies burger but the quality just went downhill and would only go to you after. Although i should've left this review a long time ago im glad i can leave it now and immortalize it on Yelp to be here years after you'll be closed. SC loves our locally owned spots and sad to see another one gone. You TRULY are going to be missed man. Enjoy your retirement and family! Thank you for serving the community all these years.
First time and a review I saw summed up our feedback. Burgers like In&Out and chili like Tommy's. We ordered to go so I ordered a double cheese plain (I know its a simplistic choice and doesn't evaluate the 'full' burger experience). Wife had the double cheese no onion. 2 sides of fries and a side of chile. 8oz for 4.95 instead of 1.50 added to a burger. That way we had hot chile fries and I had a hot double cheeseburger when we eat at home. Only comparison differing from the review I referenced is, I like this chili more than Tommy's (although very similar types) Owner took my order and prepared it. Very nice and friendly. Inside sitting was I think counter of 4 seats and outside 2 tables of 4. If you're in the mood for both Tommy's and In&Out you can't go wrong.
Burgers are delicious can't be the price !!! Gives you more than enough French fries !! The owner Dave is a great guy and honest an loves what he does if I'm in the area visiting or just passing bye try it out you won't regret it !! He does everything on his own and deserves the recognition and all the help he can get !! Has been doing it for over 40 years !!
Just went to Burger Junkies for the first time today and it was AMAZING!! I had a triple cheeseburger and chili. The burger was great. Sort of reminded me of In-n-out, but a bit better, and their chili was out of this world. Next time, I'd combine to make a triple chili cheeseburger to scratch my comfort food itch. Oh, and did I mention that they are super reasonably priced? Put the door I was around $11. Looking forward to going back soon!!
I've been coming here for years after surfing sessions! Dave is the best and I'm so happy that he's happy and spending time with his family, but the best most affordable food in San Clemente. Thank you, Dave for your amazing food and friendship over the years. You will be missed!
